About Us
Voice of Indigenous People for Justice & Peace - India (VIPJP) Valuable & Powerful
Voice of Indigenous People for Justice & Peace – India (VIPJP) is an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights, justice, and peaceful coexistence of indigenous communities across India. Indigenous people, who were historically marginalized following the rise of Aryan civilization, are now categorized under Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) in India. These communities form a significant portion of India’s population and are integral to the nation’s cultural heritage, particularly their connection to the Indus Valley Civilization.
Guiding constitutional rights, human rights law, and access to justice for marginalized communities.
Protecting the historical and cultural heritage of indigenous groups, ensuring their practices and traditions are respected and sustained.
Programs designed to improve the socio-economic standing of indigenous people, helping them gain better access to resources and representation in governance.
Investigating and addressing human rights violations, especially those affecting SC/ST individuals, and advocating for systemic change to end discrimination and violence
Protecting the historical and cultural heritage of indigenous groups, ensuring their practices and traditions are respected and sustained.
Indigenous communities have a deep connection to the land and nature, often practicing sustainable methods of farming, fishing, and forestry that have existed for centuries
Objectives of VIPJP
1. Human Rights Advocacy
Promoting and protecting human rights through educational, economic, health, and political empowerment programs.
2. Representation at Global Forums
Advocating for indigenous rights on platforms like the "World Conference against Racism" and participation in the UN Working Group on Indigenous Peoples.
3. Fighting Discrimination
Addressing caste, racial, and gender-based discrimination, and working to protect the cultural heritage of indigenous people
4. Participation in Governance
Ensuring indigenous people have a voice in decision-making bodies, in line with Article 18 of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

VIPJP is not only active in India but also has international chapters, which collaborate with global partners to ensure the rights of indigenous people are respected worldwide:
- USA: Led by Mr. Mahesh Wasnik, VIPJP works on global diplomacy and follows up on the UN Declaration on Indigenous Peoples’ Rights.
- UK: Legal advocacy is coordinated by Revindra Solicitor.
- Japan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand: Further representation of indigenous people’s rights at the global level.
